Thinking of You with ColorQ 78 and Inspirational Card Sketches 108

Hello Cuties!

**Yay! This card was chosen for Colour Queen Courtier and the winner at Inspirational Card Sketches**

It's Wednesday and we are half way to the weekend, so I hope this mid-week check-in finds you all doing well!

I fell in love with the color combination over at the ColourQ blog!  The colors were Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery, Kraft, Early Espresso, and White.
My layout inspiration came from Inspirational Card Sketches which is a "new to me" sketch blog. I had fun playing along for the first time!
Check out the yummy inspiration for these great sites!
The stamps I used were all from DeNami Designs.  I used N136 the Medium Polk Dot stamp to create the pink polka dot pattern paper in the middle section.  In the Martha Stewart Doily is the F182 Round Leafy Tree finished off with the Thinking of You sentiment from the TR16 All Occasion Sentiments Stamp Set. I love love love this set and use it often.
At the bottom, a strip of carnival tickets with some yummy buttons were added to complete my take on the sketch.  I took the liberty to add a seam binding bow.   I am just in love with the stuff! J
I am also playing along with: Bring It On: Anything Goes (optional charm), Stamp Something: Spring, Stamps R Us: Celebrate Spring, My Craft Spot: Tie a Bow.
Well, that's it for me on this post....I have a cute little man who wants to play outside and we have some bad weather coming, so I better scoot so he can get some play time in! J

CR84FN21 DeNami Designs Birthday Bling!

Hi there!

What girl doesn't love bling and some rockin' fun colors? I have combined two of my very favorite places to play in blogland!

DeNami Designs is having a Product Challenge using Rhinestones and I combined that with CR84FN colors this week which are Chartreuse, Garnet, and Cream!
My card uses DeNami Designs E143 Birdcage which is sitting on the G123 Pedestal. Now, if I were to have a birdcage, blinging it out would be the way to go as you see on my card!!! The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the TR16 All Occasion Sentiment stamp set.  The pattern paper is from Me & My BIG Ideas. The ribbon was sent to me by my sweet friend Laurel K, but I am positive it's Stampin' UP! :) The Bling....that would be a fabulous find in the dollar section at Michael's. LOVE it! I'm in the process of buying a house...THIS girl is on a budget! :-)

Hope you all have a blingolicious day!

Playing in Paradise Challenge 8 Thinking of You!

Hello there!

As I stared at the inspiration photo for the Playing in Paradise Challenge I kept going back to the Tree from the Wilson Designs Ride Away With Me set, and I just sort of built the card from there. Since the focal point is muted I kept the tone in my card as such. I took some inspiration from the roses on the bedding and added some pink and white floral rosettes to my lace trim. I love that it gives just a little pop of color as such in the photograph.

As many of my regular readers and friends know, I am living without all my crafty items for awhile, and on this card I was really missing my embossing folders. I had many ideas, but less is more sometimes! :-)
My sentiment is from Wilson Designs Ride Away with Me.
Isn't this a unique bed?  It's a unique room really...take a good look above the pillows! It's definitely a good mix of masculine and feminine. Interesting to say the least and I had fun using it as inspiration!
I am also playing along with Simply Create: Do It Yourself
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

CR84FN20 Birthday Greetings

Hi ya!

After a week of house hunting I am back to getting crafty and it feels good.  Sorry I have been absent visiting your lovely creations and leaving some love over the past week. I am doing my best to get caught up. It looks like I will be staying put several more months!

Now onto this lovely color combination that was calling my attention over at CR84FN.  Plum, Lavender and Green!
The beautiful green paper is Stampin' UP! On the Lavender paper I created my own background using the adorable bow from Simply Silhouettes by Wilson Designs
The Birthday Greeting is from K & Company! To embellish, I added some crochet trim and buttons finishing off with a lavender seam binding bow and rosette.
I am glad I squeezed some time in to play at CR84FN. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Off The Wall Craftiness 48

Hi There!

{I'm back with my second post of the day! Please click here for my Fascinating Fridays Spotlight Post.}

The photos and colors that Kim chose for the Off The Wall Craftiness inspiration this week are so unbelievably cool! If I was not about to embark on the second part of my move I could have played with these colors all day! I can only imagine if I had all my crafty tools with me.

We have an awesome sponsor this week and the OTWC Design Team was sent some wonderful Donna Downey Unity Stamps to create with.
Here is a close up of the sentiment!
Adding some seam binding from MemrieMare, twine, and a cute
tag with this beautiful sentiment for some decorative touches.
If you look below the Top Note Die (Thank you Laurel)
I have used two heart doilies which were picked up
at a local party supply store. (Thank you Mom). I can't forget
I also HAD to use my fun new butterfly punch which just seemed
perfect for this card. (Thanks Amy for being an enabler)
Here is the stamp set used.

Honored to be Featured on Fascinating Fridays TODAY!

Hello sweet blog friends!

I am quite honored to be featured by Noor at the Fond of Crafts blog today!
Noor contacted me to ask if I would like to be featured on her Fascinating Fridays spot. I was honored of course, and said yes!  Noor describes herself as a Dubai-based, dietetics graduate who is obsessed with cardmaking. Noor seeks many crafters with a variety of talents to feature. Once again, I am honored to be featured on Fascinating Fridays!

Please hop on over and check out my piece HERE on Noor's blog.  Thank you Noor for this honor!

Speaking of Fascinating, I thought I would share with you a beautiful sight as I stepped out the front door of my Florida home....a Bald Eagle! A rare and fascinating sight. Just as I went back in for my camera, it was run off by some nasty ol' turkey buzzards, but I managed to get a few quick shots.
Not many of these beauties around!
Squawking back at the buzzards
Let Freedom Ring!

I hope you have a Fascinating Friday!
