#1 Teacher

Hello!
{For my DeNami Design post click here}

I have the honor of being the Paper Sweeties monthly designer for April!

So today, I thought I would bring you Emma

The So Proud of You set is perfect for those Teacher Appreciation cards and I had fun dressing her up in the outfit that comes with that set. I used two memo pins to hold the sentiments which were stamped in white ink on blackboard paper to create a chalkboard effect.
I enjoy making school themed cards and projects and Paper Sweeties has one of the cutest sets!

I used a mixture of patterned papers and background stamping using the Gingham Background.  I added a row of Tutti Fruitti Buttons along the scallop edge.  The sentiment is a new one that DeNami released in January and is so sweet.

Some Bunny Loves You

Hello friends!

I have a sweet little card for you today!  I am going to try and keep this a short and simple post today!

So here's cutie little Emma from Paper Sweeties.  She is wearing a sweet little gown from the Some Bunny Loves you set (which is on sale right now) Emma is stamped on a journaling die from My Creative Time.
I added a length of seam binding around the card front and tied in a fussy bow adding a button and twine.  Some Tuti-Fruiti Sequins were scattered and added for a fun little touch of glam.

Inspiration was found at Seize the Sketch! Yay me for getting to play along!

I am also sharing at Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes, Just B Creative - April Linky Party.

Make It Monday with The Kraft Journal - Rain

Good Monday Morning to you!

This week at The Kraft Journal we have a new challenge for you, and it's Rain, You know what they say, April Showers bring May Flowers, so I thought that was fitting for the challenge this week, and had the perfect sentiment for just that! Sometimes rain and cloudy days can make you feel a little gloomy, so I used some bright and happy colors! :-)))
 I started out using a card base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight.  I layered a piece of Buff Ivory cardstock to a piece of patterned paper adding a scallop edge to the Buff Ivory. Next I gathered a length of Strawberry Shortcake Bias Tape and wrapped it around the card front and tied in a fussy bow adding a prima green paper flower and pink button to the center.
I purchased a Rain and Cloud file from the Silhouette Store by Lisa Norris of Pretty Paper and Pretty Ribbon a while back which came in handy for today's challenge. :-) I added a sentiment to the cloud from Paper Sweeties: Spring is Here. Sophie is also from Paper Sweeties as well as her coordinated die-cut and her raincoat outfit is from the same set as the sentiment: Spring is Here.

Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your rain creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Since we are on the subject of Spring Flowers! I thought I would share with you some photos from our trip into DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival.

How about one of the White House?

DeNami Salon Chickies Congrats Card

Last week I shared a bright and colorful card on the DeNami blog showcasing Salon Chickies.  I thought it would be cute to make a card to be given to someone graduating Cosmetology School. We don't want to forget about them as we start thinking about graduations.

Wouldn't this be darling?  I used a sentiment from the Thoughtful Greetings Stamp set. The yellow cardstock is embossed using a Chevron Embossing FolderA length of aqua and green ribbon was added to the left side of the card front which was embellished with a Lucky Green Boutique Button. A few sequins were added to complete the embellishing touches.

I am going to share at Simon Says Stamp: Winged Things, Just B Creative - April Linky Party.

That's it for me today.

Happy Stamping!

DeNami April - Inspired by

{It's my 2nd post of the day, for my Paper Sweeties Release Rewind Celebrate Your Day Click here}
{It's a bright and happy card :-)))}

It's time for our third Inspired by installment at DeNami Design today. Can you believe it?  If you are not familiar with the feature you can read about it here as well as submit your work for a chance to have it highlighted.

Today we are featuring Barb as our April Inspired by Artist. Her card was chosen and presented to the DeNami Design Team for this month's inspiration. It's easy to see why.

Below is the card I created in which I carried the feel of Barb's card, but wanted to carry out my own design.
I started by stamping the Pansy Spring on a White Panel Cardstock which I used Copic markers to add color. Following a cue, from the inspired by card, I partially stamped the Teeny Heart Background in Gray ink over the stamped images. I then covered the panel in vellum cardstock.  I stamped and embossed the Love Flourish sentiment on the vellum panel which you can see below.
I die-cut a tag from patterned paper and stamped butterflies from the Fancy Flutter Set adding a few enamel dots to the tag has Barb as done. I added a 3/4 pink grosgrain ribbon finishing off with some Twine from the Confetti Pack.
Please be sure to check out our Inspired by Card!

 Stop by to see my teammates to see how they were inspired as well!

Paper Sweeties April Release Day

Hey there!

Well we've come to the April Paper Sweeties release day. All the new items are available in the store as you read this. :-))).  I'm here to share another project using Happy Everything. As you can see, I have jumped way ahead, or I am way behind. :-) How about a Thanksgiving card?  I may be the only one on the DT showcasing those holidays that are a wee bit down the road, so yes, you are in the right place!
 I created a fun little turkey using the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge, fall papers, and a gingham bow and voila a sweet little Thanksgiving card.
The Happy Everything Set has so many possibilities and uses. As I have shown here with the release, you can use this set in conjunction with various die-cuts, but works perfectly as it's on focal point for whatever celebration you are highlighting.

I'm happy you could visit with me today. Please join my teammates for the Paper Sweeties release blog hop!

card for Paper Sweeties Sneaks click here}

Happy Almost Easter! :-)

For this week's Challenge at The Kraft Journal, We are asking you show us those adorable Bunnies and Lambs! We hope that you will join us this week! :-)))

For my project, I decided to make a little goodie bag! The Kraft Outlet sells adorable Merchandise bags.  I have started off using the Kraft Chevron Merchandise Bag as you see here. I had so much fun creating this scene.  I used a Silhouette cutting file for the bunny which was purchased in their store. The grass border is from My Creative Time.  The Egg is from Paper Sweeties Hippy Hoppity Easter Wishes.
The bag topper was created using a paper doily, a Prima flower, a DeNami Design Boutique Button laced with Pastel Hemp Cord, and die-cut leaves from Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock covered in Blue and White Washi Tape.
There you have it! A fun little Easter Treat! Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your bunnies and lambs creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

Paper Sweeties April Sneak Peek Day 1

Hey There!
{2nd post}
{For DeNami Designs Buttons and Bows Blog Hop click here}

It's already time to kick off a new release at Paper Sweeties. I am here today to help introduce one of the new sets coming out on April 15th called Happy Everything. As you can see, I have created a 4th of July card. It's a sentiment set that covers several holidays. :-)
 I stamped the Happy onto Buff Ivory Cardstock and added color using Prisma Watercolor Pencils and Mineral Spirits.
I used my Cricut to cut the hat and mat that has 4th of July stamped in red ink. The stars are from various dies. I embossed a star background onto Kraft cardstock and painted it and handed it down for a vintage rustic look.

Hope you stop by the rest of the design team to see what they have to share with you!

I would like to share at: Craftin' Desert Diva's - Anything Goes, Just B Crazy - April Linky Party, Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes.

Thanks for taking a peek! It was fun creating this patriotic card with this new set!
Happy Stamping!

I just love the embossing folders that DeNami Designs is carrying now, so I couldn't resist the new Buttons Background, and I had to use it for today's blog hop theme.

I started with a white card base onto which I added my embossed panel from pink cardstock layered to a plain white piece of cardstock.
I added the sentiment Sending you love in black ink. I added a piece of beautiful crochet trim where the two pieces of cardstock met. I then wrapped a length of pink checked gingham ribbon around the card front and tied in a bow adding a White Boutique button to the center. I created a tag using the Friends Fur-Ever sentiment, using the masking technique. I then stamped the Small Solid Button on the tag in pink ink.

A final finishing touch includes picking out three pink buttons from the Bubblegum Boutique Button Collection.
