CAS Ribbon or Twine {The Kraft Journal}

Hey there!

We have a fresh new challenge at The Kraft Journal this week and that is to use Ribbon or Twine on a CAS project.

I started with a card base of Brown Kraft cardstock. I then found a piece of plain blue scrapbook paper from my stash and placed it over the card front leaving a strip of kraft peeking below. I stamped a sentiment from Paper Smooches in the lower right corner in black ink.

I took a length of Red Baker's Twine and wrapped it around and tied in a bow! Three baseballs were cut and stamped placed at an angle. Lastly, a few sequins were added to give an extra bit of sparkle.

Please be sure to head over to The Kraft Journal blog to see the projects created by the other talented ladies.  We hope to see your CAS - Ribbon or Twine creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be showcased in the "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher to The Kraft Outlet store.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a GREAT start to your week!

City Crafter Guest Designer

I am happy to be guesting at the City Crafter Challenge Blog where this week we are casing a card from one of the City Crafter Design Team. This week it's the talented Ros. You can find the card we are casing at the bottom of this post. I think it will be easy to see how this card was inspired by Ros' card.

I created a shaker card as inspired by Ros. I used Hero Arts Row of Houses to create the scene inside. I die-cut some flat bottom clouds and placed them on the front face of the card.
I wrapped some aqua baker's twine around several times finishing off in a bow. A sentiment was added from Paper Smooches with a finishing touch of some enamel dots.

Here is Ros' darling card.

I hope you can join me this week. Please stop by the City Crafter Blog to see the other talented ladies and their take on Ros' card.

Thank you for coming by to visit  and I would like to say a special thank you if you leave a comment.
Have a WONDERFUL Tuesday!

If Friends Were Flowers....

Hi Friends,

At The Kraft Journal this week we have an "Anything Goes - Girlfriends" challenge,

I created a card for a friend of mine. I started by creating an A2 card base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock onto which I layered a Vintage Dictionary Page to Blackboard Stock Paper.  Next I die-cut a tag from the remaining scraps of Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock and Blackboard Stock Paper and layered that to the left side of the card front after I added the sentiment and die-cut daisy. I took a snippet of White Twill Tape to the top of the tag adding a silver flower button from my stash over a bow made from Natural Hemp Cord. Lastly, I added three enamel dots to the upper right corner.

Hope you have a ball...

Good Monday Morning!

It's Take Your Pick week at The Kraft Journal! Yay! I always enjoy these! They are so fun! Basically, you can go with any theme or occasion as long as you pick THREE things from the list below and use Kraft cardstock or items that can be purchased from The Kraft Outlet

I have a Basketball themed birthday card to share this week!

I started by creating a 5 x 5 card base of Brown Kraft Cardstock.  I then adhered patterned paper to the base which incorporated the color coral. Another of the pick three this round is to use Blue, so I incorporated it as the liner to my patterned paper strip as well as the star. The star base is created from Chipboard.  I stamped my sentiment inside my star and added a cute "funny" face at the top from Peachy Keen Stamps.

I cut the basketball and hoop from the Sports Mania Cricut Cartridge.  I took a length of Orange Baker's Twine and wrapped it around the card front and tied in a Bow. A final embellishing touch was adding a few enamel dots.

Please join us with your creations this week. Here is what you have to choose from for the Take your Pick!

Gift Card Holder from toilet paper roll. :-)

Hey there!

Did everyone have a Happy Easter?

How about that post title?  I love to recycle and nothing is ever safe in my house. I have been known to rescue cereal boxes from trash for chipboard! Today, I have another toilet paper roll project inspired by the current challenge at The Kraft Journal "Nature and Recycle".
I flattened it and sealed one end to create a pocket. I wrapped it in apple patterned paper that brings the "nature" to this project. Using Blackboard Stock Paper for the die-cut from My Creative Time to use for the sentiment which was stamped using the chalkboard technique to tie the theme of the project together. Keeping with the recycle of the challenge, I added a strip of bus patterned paper down the center recycling some left over scraps from a previous make.
A Grungy Prim Shipping tag was used to hold the gift card. It was cut to size to fit the pocket and dressed up with some Decorative Washi Tape.  A pull tab was created using Black Twill Tape
